Do you want to know more about Oz the Great and Flavorful?
Let’s peek behind the Emerald City Catering curtain into the Land of Oz…
As a child, some of my favorite memories are of family gatherings around a fantastic meal prepared by my parents, and some of those fantastic meals that I helped my parents create. They were the primary influence on my culinary career, igniting my passion for food that has brought me to create Emerald City Catering.

As a youngster, I remember assisting my Dad in creating the now famous homemade sausages known as “Dad’s Brats” and “Grandpa’s Hickory Smoked Sausages.” Eventually he deemed me worthy of the secrets of the recipe and passed them on to me. I learned at my Mom’s knee how to create some of the finest desserts as well as Croatian specialties that we at Emerald City Catering still make our as signature dishes.

Our goal is to start with the highest quality (and often organic) ingredients to prepare delicious meals that I would be proud to serve to friends and family.

Since our inception in 2009 we have grown quickly to the company that we are today. We humbly began by renting a kitchen from a local church that I grew up attending and in 2011 purchased the location in South Milwaukee in which we currently reside.

FAQ

Why choose Emerald City Catering?
A goal of ours at Emerald City Catering is to bring back the idea of true customer service and provide you a relaxing break in your overly busy day. Do you remember the times when the neighborhood gas station had an attendant that pumped your gas for you, offered to check your oil and had free air for your tires? A time when you went to a local bakery or deli and saw a friendly, familiar face behind the counter rather than someone just filling a position? Unfortunately, we live in a high stress world of deadlines, twelve hour days and big-box stores whose main offering is quantity over quality. For all of the sacrifices that you make, you deserve to have the stress taken out of your event. We use only the finest quality ingredients (often organic) and are able to create a custom menu to fit your families’ dietary needs (Gluten Free, various food allergies, dietary restrictions, etc).

What is Emerald City Catering?
Emerald City Catering is an LGBT Friendly Catering Businesses In Milwaukee. To many people, Emerald City is the place at the end of the yellow brick road where the Wizard lives and where Dorothy and her friends go to find what they seek. To us it is the place where all are welcome to find what they seek. It is the culmination of many years of hard work and a place where you, the customer, will find what you need. It is a full service catering business that ranges from the intimacy of a home cooked meal from a personal chef to a full service caterer for events of two hundred or more.

What makes us different from other caterers?
We pride ourselves on our professionalism and emphasis on customer service. After many years of working with large companies, I saw an alarming lack of true customer service. With people rushing to complete projects, running from work to after school activities and rushing to meet deadlines quality time spent with our loved ones is the primary sacrifice. Additionally, we offer a wide range of custom menus to fit both the most intimate gathering and a feast for many.

To say Starbucks purchases and roasts high-quality whole bean coffees is very true. That’s the essence of what we do – but it hardly tells the whole story.

Our Heritage:

Every day, we go to work hoping to do two things: share great coffee with our friends and help make the world a little better. It was true when the first Starbucks opened in 1971, and it’s just as true today.

Back then, the company was a single store in Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. From just a narrow storefront, Starbucks offered some of the world’s finest fresh-roasted whole bean coffees. The name, inspired by Moby Dick, evoked the romance of the high seas and the seafaring tradition of the early coffee traders.

In 1981, Howard Schultz (Starbucks chairman and chief executive officer) had first walked into a Starbucks store. From his first cup of Sumatra, Howard was drawn into Starbucks and joined a year later.

In 1983, Howard traveled to Italy and became captivated with Italian coffee bars and the romance of the coffee experience. He had a vision to bring the Italian coffeehouse tradition back to the United States. A place for conversation and a sense of community. A third place between work and home. He left Starbucks for a short period of time to start his own Il Giornale coffeehouses and returned in August 1987 to purchase Starbucks with the help of local investors.

From the beginning, Starbucks set out to be a different kind of company. One that not only celebrated coffee and the rich tradition, but that also brought a feeling of connection.

Our mission to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup, and one neighborhood at a time.

Expect More Than Coffee:

We’re not just passionate purveyors of coffee, but everything else that goes with a full and rewarding coffeehouse experience. We also offer a selection of premium teas, fine pastries and other delectable treats to please the taste buds. And the music you hear in store is chosen for its artistry and appeal.

It’s not unusual to see people coming to Starbucks to chat, meet up or even work. We’re a neighborhood gathering place, a part of the daily routine – and we couldn’t be happier about it. Get to know us and you’ll see: we are so much more than what we brew.

We make sure everything we do is through the lens of humanity – from our commitment to the highest quality coffee in the world, to the way we engage with our customers and communities to do business responsibly.
